In order to better manage its CO2 emissions, FFE expanded its use of chillers, added variable speed drivers on air handling units, administered a lot-wide lighting retrofit, and put in place automatic computer power-downs in all its North American offices. The result was a 20% decrease in energy use per unit, coupled with a 41% decrease in CO2 emissions. In total, the carbon management measures saved 4 million pounds of CO2.
